Since its launch in model year 2019, the Neuron:ON e-mountain bike has proven that power is adventure.
By taking riders further, faster, and ratcheting up the fun factor the entire time. Quite simply, it’s the quintessential full-suspension trail bike, as comfortable scaling big climbs as it is threading the needle on tight singletrack with its 130mm of suspension travel. And for 2020 Canyon have made the Neuron:ON even better, by fully integrating the e-drive system on all models in the entire range.
The main objective when developing the new Neuron:ON was to improve the bike’s handling and make it more capable. Undoubtedly the most eye-catching change is the complete integration of drive system and battery into the bike’s frame. But the change is about much more than just aesthetics – it also lowers the bike’s centre of gravity and improves front-end stiffness, improvising performance on technical trails. All Neuron:ON models are still backed by the proven power of Shimano’s E8000 drive system, giving riders the range to explore trails they’ve only dreamed of tackling. And new for 2020, there’s now an on/off button and USB-C charging socket conveniently located on the top tube.
Just like the previous of the Neuron:ON the new bikes will be available in two different wheel sizes, depending on frame size. To guarantee great handling for every size of rider, X_Small ans Small Neuron:ON bikes roll on 27.5″ (650B) wheels whereas Medium, Large and X-Large bikes utilize 29er wheels. This means the bike fits a massive range of riders – from 153 cm (5’0″), all the way up to 192 cm (6’3″).
Model year 2020 Neuron:ON bikes will be available from 10 March 2020, exclusively on canyon.com. There are four models in the Neuron:ON range: the Neuron:ON 9.0 (€4,499), 8.0 (€3,999) and the 7.0 and WMN 7.0 (both €3,599)*. The flagship model, the Neuron:On 9.0, features a RockShox Pike Ultimate suspension fork, RockShox Deluxe Select shock, Shimano XT shifting and brakes, and an Iridium dropper post. All models are also fitted with range of Canyon-developed parts: the e-MTB-specific SD:ON saddle, a new handlebar/ stem combination with internal wring, and Canyon:ON 34-tooth chainring.
