Canyon continues to support Sea Otter Europe, Europe’s cycling festival
The German brand will continue to sponsor the festival as Silver Partner and will be Title Sponsor of the Pirinexus Challenge and the E-MTB Marathon.
Canyon, an online retail specialist and one of the big names in the bike industry, has confirmed its presence as a Silver Partner sponsor of Sea Otter Europe 2021. The renowned brand boasts luxury ambassadors such as Emily Batty, Mathieu Van der Poel, Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado and Fabio Wibmer, and professional teams such as Movistar, Alpecin Fenix and Arkea Samsic.
The festival’s format is perfect for their branding strategy, since it is a highly customer-oriented and experiential event. The high volume of test rides as part of the Demobike programme is a perfect complement to their 100% online distribution style, as potential buyers can test bikes and get first-hand advice from the Canyon specialists in attendance at the event.
What’s more, it has also confirmed that it will be the Title Partner sponsor of the prestigious Canyon Pirinexus Challenge gravel race, the 350-km cycle tour running through two countries – Spain and France – and starting and finishing in the very heart of Sea Otter Europe.
The brand will also be Title Partner of another event in the sports programme that is set to grow significantly over the coming years: the Canyon E-MTB Marathon. Sales of e-bikes are growing steadily and significantly, and Canyon, given its wide range of e-bikes, is consciously seeking maximum brand visibility by partnering with this type of event.
The perfect match between the Sea Otter Europe festival format and Canyon’s online sales.
Canyon recognises that Sea Otter Europe ‘is the perfect place to present our bikes to a large and varied audience, allowing people to test out, touch and get to know everything that makes Canyon bikes unique’.
At the same time, they emphasise that for ‘Canyon, Sea Otter Europe is a very important event. As a 100% online company, it gives us the opportunity to meet amateur cyclists and get direct feedback from them and, more importantly, people can test out our entire range of bikes. From e-bikes, MTB, gravel and road bikes to our city bikes; we’ll have a large fleet ready for testing’.
Their latest release of the Power:ON Game:ON e-bike fleet will be available for testing at the festival, as well as their new gravel models.
Finally, they would like to announce that 2021 will be an important year for the brand: ‘In 2021 Canyon will focus on taking e-bikes to the next level and, without a doubt, this is the best place to present the latest models in our e-bike collection: Spectral:ON and Torque:ON’. Gravel models will also be available: the Canyon Grail and its electric version, the Grail:ON. Remarking on the range, the brand notes: ‘We have managed to make a light and very agile bike while maintaining a solid structure and impressive aesthetics’.
It goes without saying that Canyon will be one of the main attractions of the festival and a visit to their stand will be a must during the festival weekend.
