The great international cycling festival in Girona arrives this weekend with great new features and a record-breaking pace

In an uncertain economic environment and with many challenges and changing situations in cycling, a new edition of Sea Otter Europe arrives with very good expectations of participation and with great expectation in the world of cycling to be once again a catalyst and a force that contributes optimism to the market.

Some of the key points of the festival will be the large number of new products that the brands will be presenting and which will be on display during the weekend.

Girona and its surrounding area are once again the perfect hosts of Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental

Girona is well known all over the world as a city that is very well prepared for cyclists and cycling. Bike-friendly hotels, specialised restaurants and cafés, shops and workshops, cycle lanes, specific elements of infrastructure and, above all, very clear policies and objectives set years ago by the public authorities and the private sector to promote cycling. Thousands of visitors come to Girona and the surrounding area every year to enjoy its landscapes, gastronomy, beautiful routes and quiet roads, whether on road, gravel or by mountain bike.

The industry responds positively and increases its presence at the festival

In the previous edition there was already a significant growth in area, the number of stands and brands present at the festival once the pandemic had been overcome.

This year, a further increase was already forecast and the organisers have therefore increased the exhibition space. In this new edition, many new brands will be present at the festival, and many of the returning brands have significantly increased their presence with a larger area.

More than 400 brands and more than 250 stands will be on display during the festival. In addition, this year is the second edition of the Euro Mobility Festival, which is also growing in terms of exhibition space and brands with a specific space.

Around 60,000 visitors are expected, 5000 participants in the various events and activities, more than 3000 demo bike tests with more than 500 test bikes of different types and more than 40 different brands.

Euro Mobility Festival

The second edition of the Euro Mobility Festival, the sustainable urban mobility festival that began its journey in the last edition of Sea Otter Europe and that this year is already consolidated with its own space, its own access points and demo bike routes and its own personality.

The EMF aims to be a meeting and discussion point for the main players in mobility transformation and its most influential audiences. Girona, one of the leading cities in the field of mobility, has all the necessary ingredients to guarantee the festival’s success.

Euro Mobility Festival is committed to and aims to be a catalyst for the transformation of sustainable and friendly mobility in cities, to lay the foundations for the future of the industry.

The most extensive sports programme in a 360º festival

One of the key factors in the success of Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental is the large number of sporting events of all kinds that can be enjoyed by participating in them.

A dozen road races, gravel, mountain bike, e-bikes, downhill, trial, urban, classic… for professionals and amateurs, competitive and popular, for all categories, with different difficulties and lengths of routes, everyone can find their ideal event, have fun and enjoy Girona and its surroundings and landscapes and at the same time, visit the festival, see all the new developments in the world of cycling, enjoy the gastronomy of the numerous food trucks at the festival, musical performances and activities for children and the whole family.

The biggest demo bike in the industry

The demo bike is also another of Sea Otter Europe’s success factors, brands value very highly the opportunity to offer their bikes to users and potential buyers. There’s nothing like trying out different bikes before choosing the right one for you. In addition, buyers can ask questions and resolve any queries they may have about each of them directly with the professionals and technicians of the brands that will be present at the different stands. More than 40 brands with more than 500 bikes will be available during the three days of the festival to test as many bikes as you are able to try out, completely FREE of charge. All you have to do is register in the system and reserve the bicycles you wish to try out, regardless of the type.

As always, there will be a number of test tracks perfect for testing: https://seaottereurope.book-and-try.com/#/map
