REGISTRATION OPENS FOR THE CANYON eMTB EXPERIENCE

The Canyon eMTB experience kicks off with the opening of registration
Registration for the festival’s main e-bike cycle tour event will open on 29 June, 2021.

 

The Canyon eMTB Experience is a non-competitive, e-bike cycle tour for those who want to enjoy the landscape and gastronomy in good company and in a fun way. The new format, known as a marathon experience, includes a stop at Can Toscà, an Empordà farmhouse, where participants will enjoy some delicious grilled meat and accompaniments.

 

The event will take place in the surroundings of the city of Girona, an exceptional cycling paradise with routes specially designed for the occasion, fully-adapted for electric bicycles. The circuit is easy and gentle, consisting of a 39-km route with 600 metres of cumulative elevation gain, lots of trails and a low forest area.

The Canyon eMTB Experience will take place as part of Sea Otter Europe, one of the finest cycling events in Europe in festival format, with a 100% cycling atmosphere. The idea is to make a full weekend of it, picking up your bib on the Saturday morning and visiting the expo zone with its hundreds of stands and exhibiting brands featuring the sector’s latest new products, taking the opportunity to test out bikes through the festival’s Demobike platform, and then enjoying the event on the Sunday. What better way to enjoy yourself together with a group of friends and fellow riders.

We of course recommend trying out Canyon’s different electric bike models which the brand will be bringing to the festival and its stand for the Demobike programme. For those cyclists who are thinking of upgrading their bike, it will be a great opportunity to try out as many as you like over the weekend on the fantastic e-bike-friendly tracks specially-made for this purpose.

 

Registration is very limited so we recommend signing up as soon as possible to avoid missing out. The event will take place on Sunday 26 September, 2021, starting at 9 a.m. on Avinguda Josep Tarradellas, right next to the festival.
