Registration for the 2021 edition of the Canyon Pirinexus Challenge at Sea Otter Europe Girona Costa Brava is now open
The countdown began today for the latest edition of the Canyon Pirinexus Challenge, one of Europe’s most authentic, beautiful, tough and prestigious gravel races. The event is once again part of the programme of the Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava Girona by Continental cycling festival to be held on the weekend of 24 to 26 September. The Pirinexus will start at six in the morning on Saturday 25 September, right next to the festival entrance. The first finishers are expected to arrive back at the festival complex at around mid-afternoon.
All finishers will receive a trophy commemorating the feat and those who arrive before sunset will receive an extra special one to mark the occasion.
The challenge spans 340 km with 3,000 metres of elevation gain, passing through Spanish and French terrain, covering both the coast and inland area of Girona and part of southern France close to the Pyrenees.
We don’t recommend leaving registration to the last minute, since places are very limited given the nature of event.
