Miranda, the biggest crankset manufacturer in Europe with a strong business in the e-bike segment, reaches a Bronze partnership with Sea Otter Europe presented by Continental, which entails being the festival’s official bike parts and reinforces the e-bike events.
“Despite focusing on the OEM customisation and segment for bicycle brands, we seek to present our products and our capacities to the market and Sea Otter is a great place to show our products in action, to everyone”, explains Miranda’s spokesperson.
Miranda started off in 1950 producing some complementary bicycle polymer parts. Later, it shifted its offer to the motorcycle segment, until 1990, when the European motorcycle market declined due to production moving to Asia. This was the opportunity for the company to return to the bicycle industry. The manufacturing of brakes then led to the first cold forged aluminium cranksets in 2000 and Miranda has been expanding its drivetrain range since then. Nowadays, Miranda not only has evolved in technology and production capacity but also produces custom components not only for bicycles but also for the automobile industry.
“We have a culture of innovation inside the company and our workers, our most valuable asset, have a passion for cycling”. Miranda was one of the first companies to develop unique solutions for e-bikes, hence will focus mostly on e-bike activities; “to be present and reinforce its position as an e-bike parts maker, is a part of Miranda’s strategy”, says its representative.
Miranda will exhibit its range of products at Sea Otter Europe presented by Continental, including cranks for all e-bike interfaces with its own patented technology such as the ChainFlow3D chain retention system or the XMOD fully modular MTB crankset, the most flexible in the market today.

Besides its overall sponsorship of Sea Otter Europe presented by Continental, Miranda will also support the Canyon e-MTB Marathon, which registration is currently available, and the e-Bike XCO, which information and entries will be soon launched.
